"As we evolve, our homes should, too." - Suzanne Tucker.
Whether you are recently married, buying your first home or
remodeling your bedroom, choosing new bedroom furniture can be quite the task
to take on! Maybe you and your partner have completely different styles. Or
maybe you have the same style, but cannot agree on a color. With so much to
choose from, the bedroom furniture market is yours for the taking. We sat down
with Rita, one of our design consultants, to talk about why buying bedroom
furniture is so important.
Reasons to Buy a New Bedroom Set:
Moving into your first apartment-
Moving into your first apartment means finally growing up
and having to purchase your own furniture. If you are working with a tight
budget, start with a bed purchase and then work around it.
Recently married-
For most people, purchasing a bedroom set will be one of the
first purchases they make once they get married and move in together. It is
100% essential that you have a bed which is why the bedroom is one of the first
stops on the furniture buying train!
Purchasing your first home-
Buying your first home? Now it is time to get more permanent
bedroom furniture: Long lasting, great quality and something that you will like
for a long time. Your bedroom is your sanctuary. It is your personal space.
Although not that many people see your bedroom, do not let it suffer.
Donating your current set-
A popular trend nowadays is donating your current bedroom
set to a family member, more specifically, your children. Your son or daughter
has just moved out and they need a bedroom set. They ask you, politely of
course, to purchase one for them. Instead, give them your current bedroom set
and purchase a new one for yourself!
Many customers know what they want right when they walk in
the door. They have done their research. They have watched shows on HGTV and
know what style they want. They know how big (or small!) the room they are
working with is so they know the exact size they wish to have. However, we do
have the occasional customer that has no idea what they want. When this occurs,
Rita shows the customer the area where our bedroom furniture is located and
tells them to look around. A design consultant can sometimes judge what type of
style a customer is going to go for based on their personal style and their
personality.
The bedroom is usually the last room to be furnished, aside
from the bed itself. If the customer has a closet, they neglect purchasing a
bedroom set because they think they do not need a dresser or nightstand. This
is the wrong attitude. Your bedroom is the first thing you see in the morning
and the last thing you see before you go to bed. Make your bedroom into the
room it deserves.
