The 3 Biggest Mistakes You Are Making When Buying Furniture

“Experience is simply the name we give our mistakes.” - Oscar Wilde

Shopping for new furniture can be an exciting task, but you want to make sure you are doing it correctly! Our store manager, Michele, has come up with the three biggest mistakes many customers make when buying furniture. Check out the three biggest mistakes and make sure you avoid them!

MISTAKE #1: You don’t know your measurements. Before you come into the store, measure your room or the space you want to furnish. Our design consultants will be able to sketch up your room on paper and show you pieces that will fit proportionally into your room. They will also be able to recommend additional furniture pieces, accents and other stylish items.

MISTAKE #2: You settle on price instead of quality. Obviously every customer is thinking about price when they start shopping for ANY item, not just furniture. Try not to make price your first priority. A solid wood table (which is most likely a higher price) will last a lot longer than a table not made from sturdy material. Think about how your new furniture will benefit you in the long run.

MISTAKE #3: You want it NOW. If you want to customize your new furniture piece, be patient – custom orders can take some time. Furniture vendors are building your custom piece specifically for you. Don't let time deter you from purchasing your dream sofa!

We hope our advice will help you to make better and more informed decisions when it is time to make your furniture purchase! Happy Shopping!
